Report on the CPOK General Membership Meeting

Report on the CPOK General Membership Meeting

To: All CPOK Members

Comrades,
On Saturday, December 22nd, a general membership meeting was held at the meeting room at the Southern Oaks Library in OKC. The members gathered there discussed the issues facing the Oklahoma district and the CPUSA in general. Among the topics discussed were:
-       - The need for increased communication within the district.
-       - Re-affirming the centrality of Marxism-Leninism to the Party’s line and focus.
-       - The danger the threat of Revisionism poses to the party within the district and nationally.
-       -  Unanimous affirmation of the need to act immediately to re-organize the district, and to fight to reclaim the party for the future of a workers revolution.
Daniel Lee put forward a proposal to re-organize and re-vitalize the party, beginning with the creation of a District Committee tasked to develop the district’s structure and roles within a 3 month timeframe, leading to the formation of a Central Committee. Also included in the tasks for the District Committee were:
-       -  Adopting the 7 points of Marxist-Leninist Unity as the official line of the Communist Party of Oklahoma  (Immediately adopted unanimously).
-       -  Creating a district charter
-       -  Creating a Cadre Training Program
The proposal was met with approval and passed unanimously. Other district business was then discussed, and the meeting adjourned. The date for the next general membership meeting has been set for January 19th, at 7pm in Norman. All CPOK members are requested to attend.  Please RSVP and get directions by contacting us at: tulsacommunistparty@gmail.com

SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL CPOK MEMBERS:

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

DECEMBER 22, 2012

Greetings Comrades,

As many of you know, we face many challenges being Communists in Oklahoma; not the least of which has become a sad state of disorganization and lack of communication within our district, not to mention the larger threat of Revisionism which has been eating away at our party like a cancer. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we as Marxist-Leninists come together to present a united front against the Imperialist Capitalist regime controlling our society, and the insidious Right-opportunism which has been forced upon us by the CPUSA's national leadership.
Acting in my role left to me by JD as Assistant District Organizer, I called together a meeting a couple of weeks ago of as many members as could attend to discuss the problem and seek a solution within our district. We arrived at the decision that a General Membership Meeting was needed to call together the scattered members of the Oklahoma district and re-organize the Communist Party of Oklahoma, electing new officers and adopting an official platform which supports Marxist-Leninism and anti-Revisionism.
To that end, the date has been set:

When: Saturday, December 22nd, 2012.
What Time:10am
Where: in the meeting room at the Southern Oaks Library in Oklahoma City
6900 South Walker Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73139

I know this is around the holidays, but it is imperative that we act quickly to secure our district and put it back on its feet. If we cannot organize our own party and stay true to our founding principles, how can we expect to organize the working class for revolution?
I look forward to seeing you all there.

In the Struggle,

Daniel Lee,
Assistant District Organizer & Public Relations Coordinator,
Communist Party of Oklahoma (CPUSA)

New Website for The Communist Party of Oklahoma

After a brief hiatus, we have re-established a web presence! After the old website expired and was replaced by a Chinese pop blog (www.communistpartyok.org/), a new website was created for the Oklahoma district, and though it remains a work in progress, it will be the new home on the internet for the CPOK.
